This paper references a common definitional vocabulary that is preferred by global
standard-setting bodies and articulated in the GDF Taxonomy for Cryptographic
Assets published on August 31, 2018 and revised July 26, 2019, clarifying the
definition of cryptoassets and its three main forms (as described below) based on
emerging regulatory guidance worldwide.
